Our Willow Base hunting camp is located in the White River National Forest at about 9000 feet. We drive to our main camp by 4 wheel drive and from there we go horseback into the hunting country. We can also use 4 wheel drive and foot hunting. We have a tent camp with wood heated sleeping tents and metal bunks with foam pads, outdoor toilet facilities. We have a cook tent where we serve family style meals - hot breakfast, sack lunch and a hot supper. Hunters make their own lunches after breakfast and can take as much as they want, that way they get what they like to eat. Our meals include turkey or chicken dinner, roast beef, lasagna, spaghetti, swiss steak, meatloaf etc. along with plenty of salad, rolls, desserts and a variety of beverage. IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL DIET PLEASE LET US KNOW.
After you get your game, the guides field dress, quarter and pack it back to the base camp and from there it goes to Grand Junction for processing. Prices vary year to year on the processing, however they do a very good job and this is of course at your own expense.
